STEVES was used by the PROTEC production team ahead of the main plenary at TOURISE to carry out a full-scale technical mock-up of the show’s main stage feature.
The production centred around a 19-metre automated revolving stage, designed to support multiple scenic environments and enable seamless transitions between show segments during the main plenary programme.
A pre-build at STEVES allowed the team to test the stage automation system alongside scenic elements prior to deployment in Riyadh.

Set & Stage Mock-Up
The revolving stage system was assembled and tested within STEVES to validate its mechanical operation, scenic integration, and transition timing ahead of installation on site.
This process allowed the production team to review movement sequences, confirm the positioning of scenic components, and align structural and automation workflows in advance of load-in.
Mocking up the stage in a controlled environment ensured the team arrived on site with a clear installation and operation plan, reducing build risk and improving coordination between staging, scenic, and automation departments.

Integration & Testing
In addition to the stage automation system, scenic elements intended for use across multiple show scenes were tested alongside the revolving platform.
This allowed teams to evaluate how structural elements interacted with stage movement and to ensure compatibility between scenic placement and programmed transitions.
Carrying out these checks in advance provided confidence that both automation and scenic components would perform as intended once installed on site.

Collaboration
The use of STEVES for stage mock-up and testing allowed staging, scenic, and automation teams to work in parallel throughout the preparation process.
Validating the revolve stage system ahead of deployment enabled efficient on-site assembly and supported seamless scene transitions during the live programme.
