STEVES was used as the primary rehearsal space for the production of Once Upon a Time in Dubai, the first original musical created in the UAE.
The space accommodated the full cast and creative team throughout the rehearsal period, supporting dance, vocal, and performance rehearsals ahead of live staging.
Rehearsals
STEVES provided a flexible environment for the production team to develop choreography, rehearse musical numbers, and coordinate staging elements in advance of the show.
Having access to a dedicated rehearsal space allowed performers and production staff to refine movement, timing, and performance flow without venue limitations.
Scenic Support
In parallel with rehearsals, PROTEC’s Fabrication & Scenic team supported the production through the creation of scenic props and custom set elements.
This enabled rehearsal of key performance sequences with physical components, ensuring alignment between staging, movement, and scenic interaction prior to installation on site.
Collaboration
The use of STEVES as a rehearsal environment allowed performers, creative teams, and technical departments to work in parallel throughout the preparation process.
Supporting both performance rehearsals and scenic fabrication within the same facility ensured a streamlined transition from rehearsal to live production.
